Spot Trading:
- Buy actual cryptocurrency, own it immediately
- Simple: buy low, sell high
- No leverage, no liquidation risk
- Limited gains: 2x if price doubles
Futures Trading:
- Contract to buy/sell at future price — you don't own the coin
- Can go LONG (bet price goes up) or SHORT (bet price goes down)
- Leverage: Multiply your position size (2x, 5x, 10x, 100x)
